I wanted to share with you guys this super easy tutorial for making the cutest furry stool perfect for your bedroom or for use as a dressing table chair! It's glam without the price tag!
This tutorial is based on Ciara O Doherty's YouTube tutorial so I can't take credit for the idea but I was pretty happy how it came out!
You will need:
- IKEA Marius Stool - £3
- Rust-oleum Gold Spray Paint
- Matalan Fluffy Cushion - variety of colour in store
In Ciara's video she buys her cushion from TK Maxx for around £30 however I managed to find a similar cushion at Matalan for only £8! But it's your choice what cushion you decide to use depending on the look you're going for however I would recommend getting a longer haired fluffy cushion if you're going for glam!
How to:
1. Use the Rustoleum gold spray paint to paint the legs of the stool, I chose gold as my dressing room is white, black and gold but you could obviously choose any colour you like or if you wanted to skip this step the stool comes in white, red and black anyway! Top tip for when you're spray painting - take it outside and put down some bin bags or something to protect the ground and go in light strokes over the stool don't spray too close as the paint can start to bubble!
2. Once the stool legs are dry you can insert the seat pan into the cushion and zip it up. Cut tiny holes where the screws will need to go through and attach the legs using the instructions provided with the stool!
